What is POLO Toronto’s Jurisdiction?

POLO Toronto covers the Provinces of Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, New Foundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Nunavut.  Therefore, all Employment Documents which covers Filipino workers (under Temporary Foreign Worker status) with worksites in any of these Eight (8) Provinces in Canada will be subject to Contact Verification/Verification of Documents by POLO Toronto.

What is Contract Verification?

Contract Verification and/or Verification of Documents refer to the process or procedure conducted or applied by POLO Toronto, through the Labor Attaché, to ensure the protection of all the employment rights, benefits and welfare of Filipino workers in the worksite. The Labor Attaché shall also ensure that the employment contracts of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are consistent with the prevailing employment laws, standards and practices in both the Philippines and Canada (Federal and Provincial), and that the documentary requirements for overseas employment as required by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) are complied with.

STEPS TO CONTRACT VERIFICATION (ONSITE) 

You have an option to submit documents through in-person drop offs between 10AM-3PM or through courier mail.

Requirements: 

    • Employment Contract
    • Addendum
    • Photocopy of the visa, passport, work permit, LMIA
    • Employer’s Profile
    • Photocopy of the ID of the employer
    • Affidavit of Undertaking
    • Sinumpaang Salaysay

Note: All Documents must be submitted in two copies (one original and one Photocopy)
